Client: Large, top-ranked metropolitan pediatric hospital

Assignment: A series of strategic projects designed to update communications technology including:

• Analysis and design of a fiber optic network:
• Acquisition and deployment of a wireless telecommunications system for the Emergency Department and Operating Theaters;
• Design of an overhead paging system which has become known as the “Quiet Hospital Model”;
• Design and implementation of video conferencing for weekly and ad hoc conferencing for interstate and international events;
• Management of a multi-phased expansion of the telecommunications network acting as a liaison between the technical and business-related teams.

Result: All projects were completed on time and within established budget constraints. Key goals attained included:

• Increased agility and improved communications among key medical staff enabling superior patient care;
• Containment of acquisition costs and reductions in operational expenses;
